Why Your Drums are So Boring?

Hello guys. Camera isn't working right now. Last time was latency. Now it's not working at all. But never mind. Let's just make another tutorial. And today we're going to go through routing audio into Stride. It can be I'm I'm going to make like go through some concepts and like small ideas inside the flow and workflow. But you can use any loop you want, any audio input and any devices. Like pick your favorite plugins and do whatever we want. Yeah, so let's just dive into it. This is our loop.

Okay, super simple. 94 BPM from Kashmir. And now we're going to dive into the fun part. So what we are doing is we are routing the loop into Stride. And we put Stride in solo. So you we can see we can hear only the output from Stride. And now what we're going to do is this. We're going to load a few plugins. Let's just make less is more. So let's use only kilohz plugins. And I loads I load this convolver and a shaper table and the ring mode and dual delay. We can add also a distortion for some character.

But let's start without distorting because this is already a lot of process like only these four plugins. We're going to make a lot of fun and cool stuff with them. So, for now, I'm leaving the distortion out. And yeah, let's just pick this is how it sounds now, but we're going to make it much more interesting. Yeah. So, first we're going to pick something from the Shaper table. And of course, we're going to map the drive in the mix. And we're going to pick also something from the convolver. Let's say I don't know it can be anything. It doesn't really matter.

And we're going to modulate also these parameters and also all almost all of the parameters in the delay and also in the ring mode. So we have around I don't know 15 parameters something like that. But now we're going to set ranges to get a specific a specific vibe. I'm going to make the convolver really short. And I'm going to make tweak the feedback of the dual delay.

As you can see now when you press on the on the you press on the on the macro then it has Stride signs to you. So you can adjust really quick. And I'm going to tweak the range of the feedback to really high values so we can get this feedback vibe. Let's just listen to it. And as we go, we're going to tweak more of that. Also, we're going to make the map the milliseconds. And for them, we're also going to set a range which are in the lower values. Let's put a clipper after everything. Really cool for effect.

So, as you can see, we already getting really cool stuff. A lot of cool effects and nice things. I'm always playing with the character of the convolver and with the ring mode. So, I'm going to stop talking and let's just record the session and see what we can get.
