Hello guys. This is a walk through on a Stride. So let's just begin. You install Stride from the exe file. Then you'll find it here in the user library. You'll find Stride folder Stride link. You can save it on your favorites. The next thing you do you go to link tempo and media and you pick here Stride inject. You'll find it here in the long list and you just pick it and from there you set to go.

So I'm going to show you first the original UI where are all the things happening and then I will show you the shortcuts to all the things. So the thing that really helps me to work with it I'm I just turned here record session automation to all tracks and the other thing that I'm doing is I'm mapping this button of record like to a key to all let's say because in session view in order to automate parameters you have to press on this button.

So let's just open the canvas and walk through it so you can see it visually what this tool does to your parameters. Guys it's it's a sound design engine. Yeah, you get your instruments that you like to crank to automate to get the weird stuff and to get the happy accident and you just inject bunch of automations and manipulations in minimum time to all of them and I'll show you how to map them and everything but let's just go through the interface.

Yeah, so here you can see all the mapped parameters. All the mapped parameters you can see them here. And yeah, let's just go through the through the whole interface. So here you can set the loop the length of the loop that you want if it's two bars, four bars, eight bars, 16 bars, 32 bars, whatever. Here you can decide if you want like to draw a point.

You can have free mode. If you want like fine tunes, basically this tool is to generate a bunch of automations in one click and to get the skills here. So, it's not about small tweaks, but yeah, some people just love to have their small tweaks, so you can see all the parameters here and do that. The functionality of this is exactly as Ableton like control mouse wheel, zoom in, mouse wheel drag, everything is the same like control one, control two, reducing or higher hiring the resolution of the grid, and everything works the same.

And let's say I want to apply like unique curves on one of them, I can have I have these patterns, and I can mirror them, I can flip them. Basically, it's it's yeah, like it's you have a lot of functionality in here. You can mutate the lanes. I can select all and mutate all of them. I can shuffle between them. It keeps the original lanes and just shuffle between which lane manipulate which parameter.

I can double the time, I can reduce the time for half. I have presets here also, which is really nice if you want to explore some I don't know more of like coherent stuff or whatever. But this is the interesting part like I have we have here generative tools, which you can just apply really unique curves on all of them at once. And Neuero has more of this choppy vibe.

Chaos have more of this like getting into random points over time. And when you see each time I'm pressing, just generating a bunch of new stuff. And Prism is like taking the highest the maximum points on the Y axis and the minimum points on the Y axis and keep them coherent between all of them just changes what happened between them. So it's really cool as well. You can play with it. I have the sample and hold and the reflector. What does the reflector? It takes neuro and chaos and just bring a mirror pattern to the other lanes.

So it's really good for all these vowels and thing that you want to achieve and yeah, it's basically endless play with the play with the algorithms like generate a bunch of stuff and here you have the injector the clip. So from here you can inject to the clip straight your parameters. You can inject and then you can go back. Okay, so how I'm mapping the parameters? I have this operator patch and I'm just pressing you know this button as I showed you before the R and as soon as I move all of them I can just press you know click and up or left arrow or whatever and it really quick doing putting this red dot.

This is how Stride knows which parameter to inject like it's enough that you have this red dot on each one of them. And as I'm back to Stride UI I can see all the parameters that have red dot on them and I can apply on all of them in one click and as soon as I want to let's say I want to add more parameters then I'm going back to Stride to Ableton sorry again I'm pressing the R button.

I'm putting more adding more parameters when they're mapped going back to Ableton to Stride and then I know I can see the parameters that I didn't inject to the automation zone and I have all the automations that I they before saved and it auto syncs. You don't have to press anything as long as you're back to the interface it auto syncs and you can apply on one of them. You can apply on all of them in one click.

You can basically do whatever you want and the trigger is inject to clip and as soon as I'm pressing inject to clip you can see all the parameters moving compared to what it was in the interface. So of course you need a MIDI clip MIDI note or whatever. Anyway a MIDI note in here. Save it. Yes so this is how operator sounds when all these knobs are automated. You need to put some effort and think of how to build your device and chain. You have already a lot of instruments and drag that you've built before.

Like explore your Yeah, that's it. So let's get into the interesting part. I gathered all the unique and useful features of Stride and gather them right here into the Max for Live device itself. So as long as you go you can apply different curves just from here. If I want to apply chaos I press chaos and I say it tells me that I have eight bars of chaos ready to inject injecting to clip and it just changes all of the all of the automation lines to the algorithm of the chaos and it auto syncs to the canvas itself.

So if you if you go back to the canvas you can see that I have the chaos feature. If I press on reflector it will also be shown in here in the UI and I can straight from here press reflector and that I want four bars and I want to inject to clip and play Now I have the reflector feature playing. I want the sample and hold for eight bars. And you have it. So, every time if you want to work from here, every time you add new parameters, you have to rescan in order the device to get your chain your updated chain.

And yeah, it's good like if you work with one screen, you're in an airplane, or whatever, you can explore everything from here. You can apply curves, and then you can mutate them and inject to clip once again. And yeah, don't forget to press inject to clip because it takes all what you requested from here, and then you inject it. So, yeah guys, have fun and make great music, and enjoy.
